“Pasta” Bolognese

ingredients: 500g ground beef, 1 red onion, 2 cans crushed tomatoes, 1 mild chili, some tomato puree, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, oregano, marjoram, basil

servings: 3-4

ingredients: 500g ground beef, 250g kidney beans (can), 450g white beans (can), 3 small cans crushed tomatoes, a red onion, some bell pepper, a carrot, 20ml sunflower oil, salt, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic

Tuna “Pasta” Salad

ingredients: 100g pasta made of 100% red, yellow and black lentils, 455g green beans (a large tin), 150g tuna in water (can), dried herb mix (Knorr “Würzige Gartenkräuter”), 10ml sunflower oil, 2 tbsp water

– cook the pasta for no longer than it says on the packet
– mix dried herbs with oil and water
– put all ingredients in a bowl and add pasta in the end

Vegetable Tuna Casserole

Ingredients: 500g mixed vegetables, 150g tuna, 2 eggs, 125ml milk (0,3% fat), 60ml water with a pinch of broth powder, 50g Harz cheese, parsley and nutmeg

Instructions: Boil vegetables. Mix eggs with milk and broth, season with parsley and nutmeg. Put the vegetables and tuna in a casserole, add egg mix and put Harz cheese on top. Bake for about 20-25 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 200°C.

Vegetable Rice

ingredients: 300ml of water, 80g basmati rice, 1 tsp. broth powder, 1 onion, 3 tomatoes, 1 red bell pepper, 75g low-fat créme fraîche (15% fat), parsley, chives

1. bring 300ml of water to a boil, add basmati rice and broth powder and lower the heat.
2. cut onion into small pieces and sauté for a few minutes. add the onion to the rice when its nearly done.
3. cut tomatoes and bell pepper in pieces, add créme fraîche, parsley and chives.
4. mix the vegetables with the cooked rice.
5. enjoy. 🙂
