Basic Porridge

ingredients: 50g quinoa, 50g amaranth, 50g millet, ca. 450ml alpro coconut drink

– rinse quinoa, amaranth and millet well with hot water in a fine-mesh strainer because the seeds are very tiny (especially the amaranth)
– bring the grains and coconut drink to a boil and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes

servings: 3

In this days breakfast I added an apple, my favourite ‘Pink Lady’, some strawberries, honey, lots of cinnamon and 5g dried coconut strips. It was delicious! πŸ™‚

My First Green Smoothie

As the title says, this is my first green smoothie. Yay! Surprisingly it tasted kinda good. I’ll keep experimenting with different ingredients I think. πŸ˜‰
ingredients: 150ml of water, a cucumber, a banana and an apple

Yogurt with fruits and honey

This is my number one choice for breakfast but also a good snack throughout the day when I crave something sweet. At the moment I like kiwi fruits and pink lady but any fruit could be used. I used to add artificial sweetener to the plain yogurt but lately I prefer honey. πŸ™‚

Ingredients: 4 kiwi fruits, 2 small pink lady apples, 500g lowfat plain yogurt, 30g honey, some muesli

My First Pomegranate

As you can see I did it wrong! I should have asked Google before just cutting it open. Oh well now it’s too late and I’ll enjoy it anyway. It tastes really good and picking out those little seeds will keep me busy for a while. πŸ˜‰
