Basic Porridge

April 23, 2017 Leave a comment

ingredients: 50g quinoa, 50g amaranth, 50g millet, ca. 450ml alpro coconut drink

directions:
– rinse quinoa, amaranth and millet well with hot water in a fine-mesh strainer because the seeds are very tiny (especially the amaranth)
– bring the grains and coconut drink to a boil and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes

servings: 3

In this days breakfast I added an apple, my favourite ‘Pink Lady’, some strawberries, honey, lots of cinnamon and 5g dried coconut strips. It was delicious! πŸ™‚

Breakfast

I’m starting the day after Christmas with a healthy breakfast. πŸ™‚ I’m having 300g lowfat plain yogurt with 30g basic muesli and a Pink Lady – my all-time favourite apple. There’s a special ingredient added to the yogurt – Monin sugar free caramel syrup. Yum! πŸ˜€ Oh and a Latte Macchiato can’t be missing for breakfast.

Baked Apples

This is the first time I made baked apples after I ate them at a friends house. I removed the apple core and stuffed the apples with a mix of banana, some crushed walnuts and cinnamon. I put them in the oven for about 25 minutes at 200Β° C. Great healthy snack at this time of the year. πŸ™‚
