Low Fat Curd Cheese and what you can do with it..

The taste of low fat curd cheese (Magerquark in german) is kind of sour and that’s probably the reason why lots of people don’t like it. But actually it can be a healthy and filling breakfast. Just add some flavor to it. Here are two examples: strawberries and banana.

Low Fat Curd Cheese with Strawberries

ingredients: 250g low fat curd cheese, some water, a few frozen strawberries, artificial sweetener and/or honey
instructions: mix low fat curd cheese with some water to make it creamy, defrost strawberries and puree them, mix it all together and add some sweetener if you like

Low Fat Curd Cheese with Banana

ingredients: 250g low fat curd cheese, some water, a banana, cinnamon, artificial sweetener
instructions: mix low fat curd cheese with some water to make it creamy, puree the banana, mix it all together and add some sweetener if you like

I recently decided I should give running a try. And who would have guessed? I like it so far. Actually I should not be calling it running yet, since I’m moving slightly faster than a snail. But everybody has to start somewhere. So I went to Runners Point to find my perfect running shoes. Here they are. Brooks Glycerin 11. Shiny blue and super comfy. 😉

I don’t know what it is about the brand Desigual, but whenever I see a store I HAVE to go inside. And this time I could not leave without buying this beautiful handbag. 🙂

Vegetable Rice

ingredients: 300ml of water, 80g basmati rice, 1 tsp. broth powder, 1 onion, 3 tomatoes, 1 red bell pepper, 75g low-fat créme fraîche (15% fat), parsley, chives

directions:
1. bring 300ml of water to a boil, add basmati rice and broth powder and lower the heat.
2. cut onion into small pieces and sauté for a few minutes. add the onion to the rice when its nearly done.
3. cut tomatoes and bell pepper in pieces, add créme fraîche, parsley and chives.
4. mix the vegetables with the cooked rice.
5. enjoy. 🙂
