Freezing Bread

October 30, 2011 Leave a comment

It was time to bake some bread again. And to keep it fresh I let it cool down for like 5~ hours after baking and then cut it in slices. I use plastic freezer bags to freeze small portions of 4 slices in each bag. You can find the recipe of this bread here. I usually bake 2 breads at once to save some power and 2 last longer than 1, hehe. 😉
Here you can see the 2 breads portioned in the plastic bags ready to go in the freezer.^^

Zucchini & Potato Soup

October 25, 2011 Leave a comment

ingredients:
– 2l broth (I used broth powder)
– ca. 1kg zucchini
– ca. 1kg potatoes

1. peel the zucchini and potatoes.
2. cut the zucchini and potatoes in small cubes.
3. boil 2l of water and add the broth powder. (I’ve used 2 pots to boil 1l of water in each.)
4. add the zucchini and half of the potatoes in one pot and boil them until they’re soft (ca. 15~ minutes).
5. add the other half of the potatoes in the 2nd pot and boil them until they’re soft.
6. use a blender to purée the zucchini and potatoes.
7. add the potatoes and broth of the 2nd pot to the soup.
8. serve and enjoy it. 🙂

PS: Add some parsley before you eat it. Tastes awesome!
